In 2013, Paragon Jousting purchased it’s third Morgan Horse. Ledyard’s Nicholas, known as “Bishop”, is a son of World Champion sire Futurity French Command, out of English Pleasure mare Anna Nicole. Bishop is an exceptionally large bay Morgan with flashy white markings. He was started under saddle by Rebecca Rodlin at Ledyard Farms in King Ferry, New York. Scott purchsed the horse soon after and he moved to his new home at Paragon Stables. Bishop proved to be a willing horse and a fast learner. In 2013 he jousted at Ledyard Farms in New York, Followed by Fort Bragg North Carolina and finally the Connecticut Renaissance Faire in Norwich.

As one of our newer horses, Bishop has been extensively trained using natural horsemanship techniques. We’re looking forward to showing some new tricks with Bishop on the joust field, as we strive to push the boundaries of horsemanship within the field of theatrical jousting.
